PvP Scenarios: Gates of Ekrund
The last of the Tier 1 PvP Scenarios that you can access is the Gates of Ekrund, the Dwarf vs. Greenskin Player Versus Player Scenario.
The story behind this scenario is that the Dwarves are trying to seal the Gates of Ekrund and have patched all the holes in the walls, however, the Greenskin horde have built siege towers and catapults to propel themselves on top of the gate before the Dwarves can seal it.
Many people believe this is the strongest PvP scenario for all the Tier 1 races. The area that you fight on isn't wide open and there are small corridors that you have to run to.
To reach the center point, you need only run for a few seconds. This leads to a lot of combat in a short amount of time, it also leads to differing tactics.
In this scenario it is fully plausable for a tank to block a hallway and protect all the casters behind him or for a Witchelf to come flying out from a building stealthed and stab her dagger into an opponants eye.
The focus of this is the three control areas. When you control one of these, the points your side receives for kills is increased. The center point is worth more than both the other two points, but is also the hardest to defend. (Unlike the Chaos Scenario's Fortress, which is esentially the easiest).
If I had to sum up this scenario, it would be lots of fighting in a tight area, or Unreal Tournament on crack.
Until next time!
